Strategy XXI Century was established in 2004 through a participatory process that has involved more than 200 professionals and leaders of the country’s academic, entrepreneurial, institutional and political communities.
The group’s aims is to transcend different between governmental administrations differences, placing science and technology at the hub of the nation´s development. From a long term approach, the Strategy orients and articulates the actions necessary for Costa Rica to reach its proposed goals in “The Half Century Plan in Science and Technology for Costa Rica”.
As of March 28th, 2008 Strategy XXI Century is private, independent and impartial, not-for-profit, apolitical and nongovernment association.
Mission: “Encourage and monitor the transformation of Costa Rica into a development country by 2050, through thinking , analysis, discussion and dissemination of key information.
Purpose:
“Be recognized by the excellence and impact reached as catalyzing agents in Costa Rica’s transformation towards development”.
